San Pedro, known locally as “wachuma,” is to the Andean Sierra what amazonian vine is to the Amazonian jungle: they are the sacred plant medicines of their respective regions. While an amazonian vine experience is very internal, San Pedro externalizes you and connects you with the environment and people around you. San Pedro (Trichocereus pachanoi) is a vertical cactus reaching a gigantic size. It grows in Mexico, Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru. In the two last countries, it is used in shamanic rituals and is the cactus with the third highest concentration of mescaline. Plant mescaline has been used by shamans in North and South Americas for millennia. It is considered to be sacred medicine and helps with the expansion of individual consciousness, opening hearts, and spiritual growth.
Our San Pedro ceremonies take place during the day and are a communion between you, nature, and the universe as a whole; you will see the interconnection between life and learning through ancient plant medicines. This is how humanity can begin to fully appreciate nature and all that surrounds us. Whether you are looking for the experience or a higher level of enlightenment as you journey on your path, our shamans are here to guide you. We also provide a translator between you and your shaman during the San Pedro ceremony.
