Our 30 years of experience ensure a safe ayahuasca experience for all guests

Many people taking ayahuasca for the first time are concerned as to how they will handle the effects of the experience. It’s common for people to have feelings of anxiety, apprehension and even fear. These feeling are normal and we fully understand and appreciate your concerns.

At Travel and Healing we strive to ensure the safety, comfort and protection of all our guests. After 30 years of experience in guiding ayahuasca ceremonies, we are experts in determining the optimum dosage that each person should have. In determining dosage, a shaman, psychologist and doctor work together in evaluating a person’s age, physique, size, sensitivity, medical history, and emotional / psychological state of mind. Our practice has been accredited by the Peruvian Ministry of Health, who have sent representatives that have undertaken the same retreat as our clients. The Ministry certified our retreats as being safe, responsible and authentic.

We are conservative in our approach to dosage but aim for total immersion and a strong visionary experience. Guests are offered the opportunity to enhance their experience during the ceremony by taking more ayahuasca, under the guidance of the shaman, should they feel confident to do so at a critical point into the journey.

The reason that we do not do retreats for longer than eight days (Four ayahuasca ceremonies) is because we believe that to drink ayahuasca in excess takes away from the purpose to which the medicine has traditionally being used. The first ceremony is to invigorate spiritual awakening, the second, to help progress personal direction, and third/four to help engage spiritual healing. More than this can disorientate, cause confusion, or be excessively mental exhausting as the experience is intense and visionary. Many people find their first/second Ayahuasca ceremony sufficient to allow the awakening, direction, and healing to come and do not require further ceremonies. Other people require the three/four ceremonies to achieve their goals, as they have strong psychological blockages or issues. As with all things, “enough is as good as a feast”. Our main priority is that all our guests leave Travel and Healing satisfied with the results they have achieved.

If you are unsure as to the number of ayahuasca ceremonies you would like to participate in, we are able to help suggest a recommendation based on what you aim to achieve in combination with your personal evaluation.

Before the ceremony we pray together in silence, unifying the energies of the group and allowing individuals time and space to gather personal thoughts and energy.

During the ayahuasca ceremony, a coordinator of the same sex will look after you at all times to ensure your comfort. They provide tissues, assistance to and from the toilet, blankets, water and whatever other requests you may have.

A doctor is on site 24 hours a day during retreats and a nurse in the ayahuasca ceremony with access to a full range of state of the art emergency medical equipment. At the close of the ceremony, they will conduct a physical check to ensure guests are calm and stable after returning from their journeys before going to bed. They also monitors guests throughout the night to ensure their comfort and well being.

Shaman will chant Icaros (Shipibo prays) related to any issues that may have been raised earlier in the retreat, helping to call specific energies. At the end of the ceremony, people are welcome to stay and talk with the shaman or amongst one another.

The following morning, we discuss our ayahuasca journeys in more depth, individually and as a group, with the shaman and psychologist to help interpret a guest’s experiences. A doctor is available on site during the daytime to help with any specific physical complications and for individual consultations if required.

Please bring to the following items with you to the ceremony:

  • Warm / comfortable clothes.
  • Flash light as the ayahuasca ceremony is performed at night.
  • A bottle of water
  • Toilet paper / tissues
  • We provide blankets/sleeping bags to keep you warm if it was necessary.

Please be thoughtful of others during the retreat. We prefer the ceremonies to be performed in silence to allow people to concentrate on the visions. Please do not touch anybody else during the ceremony, unless they ask you to. Shaman may come to you to perform personal work. They may blow tobacco smoke on your head, apply perfume to your hands, or make a personalized chant to you. Please receive this with love as it is a healing work that is being performed.

Your Personal Commitment Directly Influences Your Ayahuasca Experience

The more you prepare yourself, the greater the experience will be. The attitude in which you enter the experience will have a direct effect on the experience itself. Your personal commitment to the diet restrictions, ceremonies and cleansing activities is not only important for the quality  of the experience, but is an essential part for your health and safety.

You are required to arrive a day before your retreat so that you are able to detoxify your system with medicinal volcanic spring water. This water is from the Quisach’ata Volcano, located in the highlands of Cusco and has a purgative effect, removing all toxins from your system.
By completing this therapy, your body will be physically prepared for your ayahuasca ceremony, reducing the chance of ayahuasca interacting with any substances (medication, alcohol, drugs, supplements etc) that may be in your system. This purge process can also help to purify your system of harmful substances that have accumulated in your body’s cells over the years.
The process takes approximately 3 hours and will be done at your hotel or Plaza San Francisco. The most convenient time and location for you to do this must be coordinated with the Travel and Healing staff. You are required to be nil by mouth for 3-4 hours before this process begins. After the purge, you’re able to eat and reconvene your regular activities under the restrictions listed in the categories below.
The day the medicinal water is taken allows guests time to acclimatize to the high altitude of Cusco. As part of the preparations, a nurse will conduct a basic medical examination to assess your suitability to ayahuasca. The nurse measures heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, breath frequency, as well as completes a general physical examination.

Cusco is 3, 500 meters above sea level and people sometimes get sick from spending time at this altitude. There are several forms of medication that can be taking to alleviate the effects of altitude sickness but the interaction of some of this medication can have negative effects with ayahuasca. For this reason, we recommend you look to relieve symptoms of altitude sickness by drinking cocoa leaf tea, which is commonly available in guest houses and hotels. We suggest you drink cocoa leaf tea at the airport or on your flight to Cusco as this will help to mitigate the effects of altitude sickness. You can also buy shot of oxygen at the airport. If symptoms become severe, please let us know.

Dietary: Do not consume illicit drugs, alcohol, coffee or chocolate for two weeks prior to your ayahuasca ceremony. Avoid canned food, red meat and pork, cold cuts, spicy food and excessive salt and sugar. Do not take any medical prescription (natural or otherwise), drugs, antibiotics, injections, pills, supplement, vitamins or others. No food or beverages that have artificial colors flavors or preservatives.

During your stay at Travel and Healing, we remind you that it’s not permitted to smoke, drink alcohol or to take any type of prescription or non-prescription drugs without consulting us.

Food: Eat well. Good organic food is recommended. In terms of meat, you can consume chicken or fish. To strengthen the brain, we recommend eating ceviche (Peruvian food) and ask for tiger’s milk/leche de tigre (both without spicy sin aji) – this is a concentrate juice of the ceviche.

Other: It’s recommended that you refrain from have sex or masturbating a day before the retreat as it can reduce physical energy levels, making it harder to cope with the effects of ayahuasca.

It is suggested that the women who are menstruating or pregnant abstain from participating. Period pain and discomfort may result in a negative experience while journeying with ayahuasca. However, if you do not experience sever pain or discomfort then it’s okay for you partake.

We recommend waiting till the second or third day of a period to allow you to gauge the intensity of the pain.

For your spiritual and mental preparation before your retreat, we recommend you meditate, pray, do yoga or practice any disciplines familiar to you from your own religion, practice, or faith. If you do not have a religious practice, try an honesty prayer in the morning and at night, it can be very helpful!
As the founder of Travel and Healing says, you can have the best shamans in the Universe (Christ, Buddha, Krishna,) conducting ceremonies for you, but if you don’t want to change, nothing will happen.

No one but you can change your destiny, not even God. He is the father not boss. Only you have the power to change your destiny. You, in fact, are your own best shaman in the universe.
The best attitude to approach the retreat with is to be as positive as you can. The right attitude should include honesty, love, patience, humility, respect, courage and a strong mental / spiritual determination. Approaching the retreat with these values will result in a much more fruitful experience.
When you pray, do not ask for miracles to mysteriously occur. Instead, ask for opportunities to create miracles with your own hands.

Your most important questions answered

Why choose Travel and Healing?

At Travel and Healing we use a variety of shamanic techniques. Our methods involve the use of philosophy of the Inca religion, priests and shamans from different parts of Peru. With over 30 years’ experience studying and serving Inca ceremonies with Ayahuasca, we have found a method that focuses on bringing about strong spiritual, mental and physical change, allowing you to begin a new life.  We work in a compassionate and loving environment in which healing and personal growth are prioritized.

When making an extreme life change, authenticity is invaluable. The healers we work with come from families with traditions of shamanism. The Shipibo shaman we work with are specialists in ayahuasca using centuries-old traditions and techniques. The Q’ero priests, are the direct descendant of the Incas. They bring a variety of talents, performing cleansing ceremonies as well as offerings to the mother earth (or Pachamama). Peru has a long standing tradition of priest and shaman healers. It’s because of this reason modern medicine came into the culture later on and has continued to be mixed with natural healing techniques.

Using modern medicine in our retreats ensures your safety. Travel and Healing has a multi-disciplinary health team consisting of a cardiologist, psychiatrist, psychologist, general practitioner, emergency nurse who complement the highly experienced native Andean and Amazonian shaman. A doctor is on site 24 hours a day during retreats and a nurse in the Ayahuasca ceremony with access to a full range of state of the art emergency medical equipment. We take time and care in reviewing all medical information before your visit to our retreat center. Our retreat is the only center to have been recognized by the Peruvian Ministry of Health for its method in performing safe Ayahuasca ceremonies.

Located in the Sacred Valley, two hours drive from Machupicchu, your trip here will be filled with stunning views from within the Andes mountain range. Our center is in Taray, a quiet rural community, perfect for meditation, yoga or simply relaxing. Here you will have a break from technology, buzz of the cities and time to reflect, stargaze and be awed by the nature surrounding you.

Focusing on social benefit: Travel and Healing has become a destination for those wishing to make great strides in changing their lives with every ayahuasca ceremony. Our aim is to create that awareness, to connect and share through taking actions that benefit the community. To create a chain with spiritual, mental, physical, social, environmental and sustainable healing. To be an Integrative Healing Clinic with a focus on social work efforts.

Another reason to choose our retreat, is our excellent standing on TripAdvisor. Here you can see reviews of satisfied clients. We are so happy to have impacted the lives of so many people and helped create positive change in their lives. If you are ready to take the next step, read some of our great reviews or contact us with any concerns.

Why Cusco?

Cusco is one of the energetic centers of the world. The name Cusco means ‘belly button,’ referring to the region’s central importance relative to the origin of spiritual awakening. The culture of this city has been built around a philosophy centered on respecting puchamuma or mother earth. Perhaps in these times, more than ever before, this concept of respect finds itself both relevant and necessary in addressing some of the global issues facing humanity

How do I get to Cusco?

To fly into Cusco, you must first obtain a flight from your country to Lima, Peru. From Lima there are connections to Cusco from 5am to 12am (the flight is one hour long). Connections from Lima to Cusco range anywhere from 200 to 350 dollars. Some of the airlines flying to Cusco are Lan, Star Peru, Tacna and Peruvian Airlines.

How is the weather and what do I need to bring?

We sit at 2,800 m. (9,500 ft high), meaning the air is usually cool and dry during the night and sunny during the day. You can check weather.com for an accurate 10-day forecast for your ayahuasca retreat.

The rainy season is typically from December through March. The dry season runs from end of March to November. However, the weather can be very unpredictable, so it is always useful to have a rain jacket on you.

Comfortable shoes are essential in our rough terrain. Bring warm clothes for the evenings, as it is chilly and bring a hat and/or sunblock for during the day. A rain poncho is essential if you’re coming in the rainy season (Dec – Mar). Bringing a notebook or journal with you might be useful as well for recording your thoughts and helping with your integration. We do not provide toiletries so please bring your own. It also can’t hurt to bring a camera!

Bring a small flashlight (optional) and your yoga mat (optional).

Electrolyte water can be bought here as a way to re-hydrate after ceremony. You will also need 1 bottle of water (2L) and 1 roll of toilet paper per ceremony. The toilet paper is for the ayahuasca ceremonies. We provide it in the retreat center.

I take medication, is this ok with the ayahuasca ceremonies?

Some kinds of medication are compatible. However others, such as antidepressant medication, can be problematic. Make sure to inform us of what medication you are taking and we will consult with our doctor.

I have a special diet, can I still come?

Yes, please inform us in advance of your dietary restrictions and we will assist you.

I have never been at that high of an altitude. How likely am I to get altitude sickness?

Cusco is 3, 500 meters above sea level and people sometimes get sick upon arrival due to the drastic altitude change . However, prior to your retreat we recommend that you do not take any kind of medication for altitude sickness as its interaction with ayahuasca can be dangerous. Instead, we suggest drinking cocoa leaf tea and lots of water as a way to relieve symptoms of altitude sickness before arriving. The tea is commonly available in guest houses and hotels. If your altitude sickness symptoms become severe, please let us know.

Vaccines

We are not considered a tropical location and therefore no vaccines are required before visiting Cusco. If you still have questions, it’s best to consult a travel doctor in your country before visiting.

Discover the energy songs that will be sung throughout your ayahuasca experience

Icaros are songs about the energy of plants, of nature, of the universal force.

Each Icaro contains different energies. They can be sung in Aymara, Shipibo, Ashaninka, Quechua and Spanish languages, however people who choose to learn to sing learn in the Shipibo dialect.

When Shaman sing Icaros during the Ayahuasca ceremony, they open the world of ayahuasca.

With these songs, the effects of the experience can be intensified or reduced depending on how the patient’s journey is progressing.

The ayahuasca shaman cannot see the same vision as the patients as the visions are all different. However, the shaman can see the concerns and woes, and will choose the right icaro to sing to help cleans the body and mind.

Travel and Healing offers relaxing yoga & massages throughout your stay

Yoga for relaxation

Yoga has long proved its benefits in the world. Yoga stemmed from the human desires of harmonization, health and spiritual understanding. For this reason, we incorporate yoga classes with our technique during our retreat.
The yoga technique we use involves exercise, breathing and meditation. This focus helps create a balance in the body, mind and spirit which is useful before and after the ceremonies. We aim to teach in a way that’ll allow silence and healing in your everyday life.
What are some benefits of yoga?

  • Improved brain function
  • Lower stress levels
  • Increases flexibility
  • Lower blood pressure
  • Relief from back pain
  • Increased lung capacity

Ayahuasca – Banisteriopsis caapi

Chacruna – Psychotria viridis

Ayahuasca heart

This ancestral medicine is used by shamans to heal a variety of psychological and spiritual illnesses. It is also used to initiate people, in their process of personal development, as well as show them the means by which to heal physical ailments.

The name “Ayahuasca” comes from the QUECHUA (inca language), meaning “Death’s Rope” (Aya = Death and Huasca = Rope). This name does not infer a physical death, but rather a psychological and spiritual opportunity for rebirth.

Ayahuasca is known by many names throughout the Amazon basin. In the Shipibo language it is known as “nishi rao” which means “Medicine Rope”. In Ecuador it is called “natema”, in Brasil, “jurema”, “chá”, or “daime”, and in Colombia it is “yagué”. The latin or scientific name for Ayahausca is ´´Banisteriopsis caapi´´.

The preparation of Ayahuasca is carried out by shamans;

it is boiled for several hours with another plant called Chacruna (Psychotria viridis) which gives it the psychoactive effect.

This process is accompanied by shamanic chants or “Iqaros” (prayers or mantras typical of the amazonian Shipibo culture).

The effect of Ayahuasca is very strong. It results in vomiting and intense psychoactive effects for up to four hours. It is therefore important to take it with a shaman who can guide and ensure one’s safety throughout the experience.

Cooking the medicine

DMT – dimethyltryptaamine

Ayahuasca is unique in that its pharmacological activity is dependent on a synergistic interaction between the active alkaloids in the plants. One of the components, the bark of Banisteriopsis caapi, contains ß-carboline alkaloids, which are potent MAO-An inhibitors; the other component, the leaves of Psychotria viridis or related species, contains the potent short-acting psychoactive agent N, N- dimethyltryptamine (DMT). DMT is not orally active when ingested by itself, but can be rendered orally active in the presence of a peripheral MAO inhibitor – and this interaction is the basis of the psychotropic action of ayahuasca.

Neo cortex: what makes
us human

“Most people report revisiting the most significant events of their lives, like sequences in a chaotic film. The drinker [ayahuasca is a tea] is vaulted from one subconscious vision to the next, and as buried memories rise to the surface, it often leads to acute emotional catharsis.”

“Dr. Riba and his team have found that ayahuasca hyper-activates the highly evolved neo-cortex, the area of the brain that makes us human. This is where we perceive, reason and make decisions.

Neo cortex: The amygdala

The insula

“Ayahuasca also activates regions like the amygdala, which acts as a storehouse for early emotional memories, specifically the most traumatic or significant ones, like the loss of a parent.

“Finally, ayahuasca activates the insula [also known as the insular cortex], which is believed to create a bridge between our emotional impulses and our decision-making capacities.

“According to many neuroscientists, our decision-making process has a powerful emotional component. When any stimulus enters the brain, the brain tries to understand it based on previous experience.

Synapse making a repeated
connection

“In early life, powerful or traumatic events, create an imprint on the brain, a pattern. This pattern is like a shortcut, activated every time we face a similar situation. For example, if we were once attacked by a dog, our brain might harbour a set of pathways that associate that dog with all dogs, making us fear them in general. We might even react adversely to a distant bark. Repeated events cause these neural patterns to reinforce their connections, binding them with protein, and building them up like scar tissue.

Synapse making a new
connection

“If this is how these traumas are rooted in our brains, how does ayahuasca affect those ingrained patterns? Ayahuasca hyper-activates the entire brain region where we store and process emotional memory, often uncovering long forgotten memories. This hyper-activation enables the conscious part of the new brain to temporarily override previously entrenched patterns, allowing new connections to be made. Dogs, for example, may no longer be feared as these new connections are created and memories, reevaluated. In field studies, ayahuasca users typically describe having new perspectives on past experiences, and deeply rooted patterns of behaviour.”

The most important things to know about the genes scientific theory

IF WE CHANGE OUR THINKING WE CAN MODIFY OUR GENES

THE QUANTUM BASIS OF EMOTIONS

THE HYPOTHALAMUS:

In the upper half of our brain is where the hypothalamus is located. It can be described as a factory, where various chemicals meet, related with our emotions and our thoughts.

Those chemicals are called peptides (chains of amino acids). Our body is almost all made of carbon and it produces about 20 amino acids to get the formula of its physical structure. In a way, the body is a machine that produces protein.

The hypothalamus selects a small chain of protein, called “peptides” and assembles them into a determinated chain (“neuropeptides” or “neurohormones”) that correspond to emotional states we experience daily. There is a chemical for each emotional state we experience.

Every time we experiment an emotional state, the hypothalamus puts together the corresponding peptide and releases the flow of blood through the hypophysis (pituitary gland). Through blood flow, the chemical signal can seamlessly reach different parts of the body.

All the cells in our bodies have peptide receptors on the outside. A single cell can have thousands of receptors embedded on its surface, open to the outside, ready to receive the peptide. When a peptide docks in at a cell, it fits like a key in a lock. The peptide can remain attached to the cell for as long as it needs; it can also be released and re-attached depending on the demand of that cell.

HAVING CELL AWARNESS

A receptor, when it has been annexed by a peptide, causes transformations in the cell, triggering a flood of chemical reactions. Many of these reactions generate a change in the very core of the cell. All cells are alive and have consciousness (if we define consciousness as the point of view of an observer). The nucleus of the cell always knows, it knows what proteins to manufacture or when to bind to its nucleus. The cell is the smallest unit of body awareness.

CELLS ARE LITTLE JUNKIES

The cells with the empty receptors begin to communicate with the brain, claiming the peptides that have been being supplied regularly are not there. The brain, automatically starts creating pictures in your head, as an answer to restart the cycle.

For example, if you think about how to be depressed, about how much you are confused, about suffering or happiness, the cells will tell the brain that your chemical needs are not being covered. Then, the brain becomes active and searches images from the archive (past) and sends them to the frontal lobe which will begin to visualize and create the cause of your feelings.

ADDICTION

The idea is that if you cannot control your emotional state, you’re used or addicted to it.

CREATE YOUR BODY MIND

The neural network of the brain gives orders to the cells, and these orders are based on experiences and information that have been stored in our brain memory. We start to relate this information to the chemistry of our brain.

To change brain chemistry, we have to modify our neural network, change our own identity, change our attitude and the way we interact with the environment.

CHANGE THINKING TO CHANGE OUR GENES

If we stand firm with an emotion, attitude or way of thinking for a long time, what we are doing is reinforcing the recipients of these cells into the reception of a kind of chemistry.

Specialized receptors in the neuropeptides are constantly getting attention from certain chemicals related to a specific emotion.  Because of this, the brain is left with fewer receptors for vitamins, minerals, nutrients, fluid exchange and the elimination of waste and toxins.

Aging is the result of improper protein production. Can we stop our destructive way of thinking to generate optimal performance in our body?

If we don’t change emotionally- we don’t mean just getting decent sleep and eating healthy – we won’t succeed in stopping the cell from aging or it from malfunctioning.

SOMATIC MUTATION

Your continued use of negative emotions cause changes in our cells which can lead to a genetic mutation (Just as the proper use of our emotions can also genetically modify our DNA structure).

They are called somatic mutations, and are included in a series of possible somatic mutations.

As pointed out in the documentary, “What The Bleep Do We Know,” if one is able to modify their emotional thinking, brain neurons can establish new synapses and send specific orders to the cells of our body to change and mutate the cell nucleus.

MUTATIONS

There is debate in the scientific community between those who argue that an emotional change causes heritable mutations and those who refute it.

Although some scientists are reluctant to accept that somatic mutations are inherited in the progeny, there are known cases that prove this theory.

Scientists like Fred Sanger, Walter Gilbert and Allan Maxam, who sequenced the human genome, say that based on the evidence obtained, there are many more possibilities for genetic modification than was suspected at the time, including somatic mutations.

MUSIC, SOUND AND WORDS INFLUENCE DNA

Russian scientists, Grazyna Fosar and Franz Bludorf, claim that the biological human DNA is superior, in many aspects, to the artificial. The last direct Russian research explains the phenomenon as clairvoyance, intuition, spontaneous and remote acts of healing, self healing, affirmation techniques, unusual light auras around people (mainly spiritual masters), mind’s influence on weather patterns and more.

There is also evidence for a new type of medicine in which DNA can be influenced and reprogrammed by words and frequencies without removing and replacing single genes.

Only 10% of our DNA is being used to produce proteins.

It is this sub-classification of DNA that is of interest to western researchers and is being examined and categorized. The other 90% is considered ‘junk DNA’. The Russian researchers, however, convinced that nature was not silent, brought together geneticists, and linguists in a venture to explore those 90% of ‘junk DNA’. Their results, findings and conclusions are simply revolutionary.

Base Substitution Mutations

Not only are there substitution mutations AGTC-adenine (A), guanine (G), cytosine (C) and thymine (T) – there are other possibilities of genetic mutation: structural shift mutations and splicing mutations (below you have the detailed information )

Types of mutation:

Somatic
Affect the individual’s somatic cells. Somatic cells are cells that help with tissue and organ growth during embryonic development and undergo a process of cell proliferation and apoptosis.

Germline mutations: affects gamete-producing cells with mutations appearing in gametes. These mutations are passed over to the next generation and have a greater importance from a evolutionary standpoint.

Morphological
Affects the morphology of the individual, via body distribution. It can change the color or shape of any organ of an animal or a plant.

Gain of function

There are occasions where a mutation can produce a new function to the gene, generating a new phenotype. If this gene maintains its original function or if it’s a duplicated gene, this can result in a first step in evolution. A case example is the developed antibiotic resistance by bacteria.

SOMATIC
If the mutation occurs in a cell that develops a somatic tissue, it will give rise to a population of identical mutant cells.

Identical cells of a population caused by mitosis from a single progenitor cell are called clones.

If the mutation is dominant it is expressed in the phenotype of those diploid organisms. If recessive, it will not be expressed as it will be masked by the wild-type allele (dominant); a second mutation can create a homozygous recessive mutation, but it is a rare event.

Individuals have two different cell lines with different genotypes. Once a cell undergoes a mutation, all cells derived from it by mitotic pisions inherit that mutation (cell inheritance). An individual mosaic of genotypes caused by a somatic mutation has a group of cells with a genotype different from the rest.
In the event that the mutation occurred after the first pision of the zygote (in a state of two cells), half of the adult individual cells have a certain genotype and the other half a different one. Mutations that affect only the somatic line cells usually are not transmitted to the next generation (with some exceptions).

Somatic cells are those that do not originate progeny. However, there are proven cases of somatic mutation. We must remember that lots of bacteria and plants (somatic mutations) may cause eventual new inpiduals with germline cells.

WE HAVE GENES WITH BACTERIA AND VIRUSES

Bacteria interact with the human body and can be taking orders from the brain. These beings, inextricably linked to us, make us sick in order to heal emotional and somatic disease.

So far we have found 223 human genes that are bacterial genes.

Virus that demonstrated that mutations produce them:

Epstein Barr virus (a virus of the herpes virus family) and the Herpes # 6

OUR GENES CAN BE MUTATED BY THE UNIMAGINABLE

What I mean is that if viruses, bacteria, radiation, food, energy … can alter our DNA, it is not unreasonable to infer that our thoughts and emotions can. And especially when it is scientifically proven that each emotion corresponds to a neuropeptide and these are installed in the cells by somatic mutations in some cases inherited by our children.

INTERACTION WITH DNA

http://bibliotecadigital.ilce.edu.mx/sites/ciencia/volumen3/ciencia3/124/html/sec_7.html

The reaction product, generated by metabolism interact with desoxyribonucleic acid, producing beneficial mutations and also premutagenic lesions, or adducts, which in many cases, are set and produce mutations in DNA, such as base substitutions, transitions and transversions or mutations shifting the reading frame.

BACTERIA CHANGES OUR DNA

However, in many cases, the lesions are efficiently repaired by premutagenic enzymes that function in organisms is to maintain the integrity and fidelity of nucleic acids. It is thought that enzymes involved in repair processes, appeared early in evolution, since they are present in bacteria and these are the causes of mutational changes in humans.

Repair mechanisms can operate before or after DNA replication. Their efficiency varies and can be repaired efficiently, without errors. A situation that occurs when exposure to genotoxic agents is low or inefficiently repaired, promoting DNA errors, depends on the saturation of the first mechanism and it usually occurs when there is high exposure.

However, both mechanisms are affected by many variables besides exposure. They also depend on the chemical structure of the mutagen, the type of adduct formed and the amount of damage induced.

MOLECULAR BASIS OF MUTATIONS

Base substitution mutation:

They occur in a position to change one base pair for another (the nitrogenous bases are those that distinguish the nucleotides in a chain). We distinguish two types that are produced by different biochemical mechanisms:

  1. Transitional mutationsor simply transitions, when a base pair is replaced by the alternative of the same type. The two purine bases are adenine (A) and guanine (G), and the two pyrimidine is cytosine (C) and thymine (T). The AT pair substitution, for example, a GC pair would be a transition.
  2. Mutations transversionalor transversions, when a base pair is replaced by another of the other type. For example, replacement of the AT pair by TA or CG.

Structural shift mutations:

When added or removed base pairs alter the length of the chain. If you add or remove peers in a number not a multiple of three (i.e. if it is not an exact number of codons), the consequences are especially serious, because from that point all information is altered. There are two cases:

  1. Loss or deletion: mutation of nucleotides in the nucleotide sequence is lost and a chain is shortened by one.
  2. Mutation by insertion of new nucleotides: within the DNA sequence additional nucleotides are inserted, correspondingly lengthening the chain.

Mutations in splice sites (splicing):

Mutations of the reading frame shift may also arise from mutations that interfere with the splicing of messenger RNA. The beginning and end of each intron in a gene are defined by conserved DNA sequences. If a nucleotide mutates into a highly conserved position, the site will not work anymore, with predictable consequences for the mature mRNA and the encoded protein. There are many examples of these mutations, for example, some mutations in the beta globin gene in beta thalassemia are caused by mutations in splicing sites.

Nassim Haramein

CONFERENCE ON THE OPERATION OF THE COSMOS, fractals, and PHYSICS OF LIFE

Part 1:
Part 2:

Nassim Haramein was born in Geneva, Switzerland, is one of the young scientists who are revolutionizing part of the scientific community with the presentation of the Unified Theory of Everything. It is an ambitious theory that focuses on fractal mathematics (holographic), in sacred geometry and the assumption that black holes are the core of any structure in the universe: galaxies, planets, atoms and ourselves.

When he was 9 Nassim started to develop the basis for a unified hyperdimensional theory of matter and energy, which eventually called Holofractográfico Universe Theory

Nassim has spent most of his life researching the fundamental geometry of hyperspace, studying a variety of fields from theoretical physics, cosmology, quantum mechanics, biology, chemistry, anthropology and ancient civilizations. Combining this knowledge with the continuous observation of the behavior of nature, he has discovered a specific geometric collection is at the center of creation, and is the foundation of his Theory of Everything.

This unified theory is known as the Haramein-Rauscher metric, it brings new solutions to the Einstein field equations which incorporate the effects of torque and Coriolis. It represents the foundations of what could be the change to our current concepts of physics and consciousness. The theory is currently being reviewed in the scientific communities through the submission of articles and presentations at international conferences in physics.
