Stay at Buddhist monastery with monks

Today you will drive for about one hour to Bhaktapur and explore the beautiful place with its vibrant culture, architecture, temples and squares. Later, you will continue your journey to Namobuddha, a sacred monastery where you will stay the next few days. You will get to know the daily life of the monks, enjoy the energy of this spiritual place, have time to meditate & pray with the monks and stay overnight at their guesthouse.

Early in the morning you will pray with the monks and afterwards enjoy a simple breakfast with the monks. On this day you will learn a lot about Buddhism. There is also the option to take Buddhism class for 5$ per hour, so you can decide how many classes you would like to join. Being in a buddhist monastery will help you connect with yourself and get a sense of peace and harmony. You will be eating, praying and living with the monks during your whole stay at the monastery there.

After praying with the monks and having breakfast, you will hike to Panauti for around 3-4 hours. You will explore some local villages on your way and visit ancient temples after reaching Panauti. Later, you will drive back to Kathmandu and have the evening free to relax.

On your last day, you can visit the local markets near Thamel in case you have time before your flight. You can buy some souvenirs and handicrafts before you are brought to the international airport, so you can take your flight back home.
